Why we exist
Every breakthrough starts as an idea someone refused to leave on paper. A chemistry that could hold more energy. A restaurant that could run without the chaos. A laboratory that could trust its own data. We started Maple Synapse because we wanted to be the people who help those ideas survive contact with the real world.
What we believe
The hard part is the last mile. A cell that cycles beautifully in a paper still has to be made, tested and proven at scale. Software that demos well still has to run at two in the morning. We are drawn to that last mile, where the work stops being an idea and starts being something people depend on.
Standing behind it matters more than selling it. An instrument without someone who can keep it calibrated is a liability. Software without someone answering when it breaks is a risk. We only sell what we are prepared to support, and we write that promise down before the sale.
Science and software are the same craft. Both are about measurement, reproducibility and honesty about what you do not know. The same people who wire a battery cycler into a data pipeline also build the systems a restaurant runs on, and each practice makes the other sharper.
Say it plainly. Quotes, reports and release notes are written for the people who sign them, not for other engineers.
Where we are going
The transition to stored energy is the defining engineering project of our generation, and most of it will be built in laboratories and on production lines that need equipment, data and people they can trust. We intend to be that partner for the teams doing it in Southeast Asia and beyond, while continuing to build software that lets small businesses punch above their weight.
Two offices, one conviction: your visions, our missions.
